40 weeks...

... sigh, still here, with no signs of labor coming on. I walked three hilly miles in Manzanita Park yesterday evening, and honestly felt like I could have done three more. Weird huh? If no labor/baby by my next appointment next Tuesday I will be induced on Wednesday... something I really really do not want. Cross your fingers for me!!

One week to go... I hope!

• How far along: 39 weeks tomorrow
• Weight gain: Why yes, but you do not need to know the details! :)
• Maternity clothes: Yes, and I hate them.
• Belly button in or out: Still hasn't "popped"
• Sleep: I am getting contractions at night, but other than that my sleep is fairly fine. I mean I am able to function and not bite any one's head off...
• Stretch marks: None... let's hope I do not *jinx* anything!!
• Food cravings: Just food in general... hot days require ice cream or popcicles (duh)!!
• Movement: OMG... TONS!!
• Labor signs: Just braxton hicks. I am about 1cm dilated and the he has not dropped yet. Thinking this boy is just comfy in my womb.
• What I'm looking forward to: Labor, weird yes?
• What I miss most: sleeping on my stomach, having a drink, tanning, non maternity clothes, and the ability to put on my clothes without feeling like a chore!
• Miles stones: Almost done!

We are suppose to be getting our new windows in this week... cutting it close right? Well technically they were suppose to be installed a week and a half ago, but they came in the wrong size... thankfully it was not our error, so they had to be reordered as a rush, because we got a baby coming! Hopefully (cross your fingers) we get the windows installed this Thursday... and then we can welcome Colton! Yaya!

32 week update

Here I am at 32 weeks. Went to the Dr. today. I am measuring slightly above average, his head is down and my weight gain aka fat suit is right on target. From there my Dr. even talked about an early birth. wow! I swear sometimes when I feel Colton kick I hear his joints popping or something... my Dr. said some women have experienced the same thing. Made me feel better, as everyone I was telling about it gave me look of "she must be losing it". My ribs are still under pressure all the time. I have a new passion for ice, I want to eat it all the time like it was candy.
Colton's room (and out entire house for that matter) is coming along. Madre comes over every five days or so and we bust through a room. So far living room and master bedroom are completed. Rooms left to be attended to: office/sewing room, kitchen, linen closet and Colton's room. We are painting the base board tonight in Colton's room and from there are ready to get furniture placed and decorate. Yippee. With our tax return we plan on installing all new front windows, cannot wait to get that done! However it is going to be a HUGE project for us, not one I am looking forward to at all. My baby shower is next weekend, sooo looking forward to it... if you know me, you know what I mean!

Well hello third trimester, how I have been looking forward to your presence!
I am still in shock that there is only 89 days until Colton is here. I feel like a very lucky gal with my pregnancy so far. First trimester I suffered from, well, bloating and lack of energy... no morning sickness at all. I did not even think I was pregnant to tell you the truth. Oh and I was and still am hungry all the time, but what else is new eh? Second trimester all energy returned and I reluctantly started to wear maternity clothes. Yes, I still hate maternity clothes, call me crazy, but it is what it is. Towards the end of second tri rib PAIN is more common, in fact every hour on the hour to be more exact. My back hurts, but other than that I am feeling really good. I get kicked constantly, and love it. I went to a yoga class offered by Monica at Green-Belly. Rumor has it yoga is a really good way to prep for labor and help your body 'bounce' back after birth. All I know is I felt really refreshed and relaxed once I left her class. Awesome.

So this year is full of promises that our life as we know it will never be the same again come April. We are super excited to become parents, and yet at the same time completely scared. As many of you may or may not know I have been pushing to get our doors done on the house. Well we are half way there! Only four more doors to be painted, and viola we have completed doors. Who knew it would take me getting knocked up to get these darn doors finished?! This past weekend we officially said goodbye to our 'guest' room and hello new and organized office. I still need to bring in my sewing stuff and set that up sometime this week, and then we can start working on the nursery probably next month or so. Once the doors are done Dan is suppose to start working on his 4x4 cralwer, and hopefully we can all take a trip to Johnson Valley to watch King of the Hammers in February.
Today marks my 27th week of pregnancy. Yippee for a sore back, hurting ribs and sleepless nights. Who knew that being pregnant could be so gosh darn fun?! Only 91 estimated days until Colton Michael arrives into our lives. I finish school in five weeks, and cannot wait to be done and graduated. Finally it seems like everything is coming together!

mental note:
when people say 'thank you', i need to say 'you are welcome' rather than uh-huh.

20 weeks and 140 days to go!

I find myself at the half way point of my pregnacy with complete happiness and slight anxiety. Happiness for the fact I am at the half way point, and anxiety because we still have so much to do the house and I still have to finish school.
So far second trimester has been a breeze (knock on wood), and next week I find out if we are having a boy or girl. I have this feelingitsaboy, but you never know!
I hate maternity clothes, seriously. I am totally in that 'in between stage' of "is she pregnant or fat", sigh, not fun. I have yet to have a stranger ask if I am pregnant, so I am assuming people think I have gain a little extra in the mid-section for no reason. In true honesty, I do not think I look pregnant either.
Last Saturday was a dance party in my uterus, not sure if you got the invite, but the baby was having a blast!
