Well I am half way done with my Christmas shopping for Dan. I loooove being able to shop on the internet. Who knew that my shoppers bliss was just a click away! However Dan is one of the most easiest and hardest person to shop for. And with our small limit of spending cash this season, he became even harder to shop for. But with my shopping skills and his easy to please attitude, I should be okay. 'Tis the season!

Mr. Rabbit and Spuds

Please excuse the mess of our backyard... but hey it is our work in progress. Regardless Mr. Rabbit and Spuds found time to bond this afternoon, and broken concrete is the best place to catch up according to them!

And here are some of Spuds rolling around. He just loves concrete!

Starving Willow

Apparently Willow was out of food and Dan forgot to tell me until last night. So we went to Long's to get a large can of wet food and some crackers to mix in. Willow only eats dry food (as does Spuds) so you can imagine her delight to be served wet food for dinner. Spuds could not resist the wet food either, so they ended up fighting room in the bowl.

So sad, no more food left....

Being thankful in SLO...

We went down to San Luis Obispo for Thanksgiving. Great weather, wonderful family, and excellent food. What else do I need to be thankful for?!?!

Here is the view from my Aunt Lynda'a back window...

Aunt Karen tapping some keys!

Chasmo doing what he is second best at... (soccer being first!)

Watching some football...

Uncle Mike ...

All the family!!

Willow and Cubby: Round One

Please do not think that I abuse my animal or that my mothers cat is a bitch cat (which he is at times). Willow (dog) and Cubby (cat) do not always see eye to eye on the whole playing thing. Willow was curious with Cubby's play tunnel, and Cubby was itching to play... boxing style.

Please note the CLAW sticking out of her right lip... This was hilarious... and no animals were hurt in the making of these pictures...

Willow and the Cub man were playing and about 20 minutes later I notice the claw on her mouth... to funny for words... LMAO

It is so sad it is FUNNY.

Friends?

The nail... or what is left of it!

My first pie...

Well I attempted my first pie last night with high to moderate success. Before my grandma past away she taught me the ins and outs of pie making. Luckily, what she had taught me has still stuck with me. I have a few quirks to work out with my berries being ubber juicy, but other than that my pie was most excellent!!

Yep, I did it!!

Reading Rainbow...

...but without the reading. We had a down poor about a week ago and a raibow appeared from end to end. I just wish I could have got the entire thing without all of the wires and crap.

Meggers was preggers...

This morning at 3:49am my dearest friend Megan gave birth to her third daughter. Weighing in at 7lb. 14oz. and 19inches. Her delivery was short and hard, but mother and baby are doing great and look beautiful. I will post pictures later in the month. I am just so incredibly happy that she has been blessed with three healthy children!
Yeppers, I voted today!

Haunted House?

Nope. These are pictures of my SIL house and her neighbors houses too. They have created a whole street of horror for the little goblins in her neighborhood. I must say, she did a great job! In fact, they all did such a great job decorating that they made the front page of the living section in our local Californian newspaper. All these pictures are courteous of the of http://www.thecalifornian.com/ , Brittney Durgin/photographer.

::embarrassing::

Okay. We treat Willow like our child, because she IS our child. And yes, sometimes that includes holding her like one too! However, when ever D picks her up she gets this embarrassed look on her face that D and I can't help chuckle about.

Sad and pathetic? Yes. Cute? H-E-double hockey sicks YES!!

My first facial...

...was freaking AWESOME. I always go to Liz at Flawless Beauty in south Salinas for my waxing needs. I'd figure since my :::shhh::: birthday is coming up I would treat myself to my very first facial. My appointment was on time at 4:30 this afternoon and I left there at 6:15 feeling like a brand new girl. Liz did the c-esta facial, massaged my neck, shoulders, chest, arms and feet! OMG, it felt sooooo good! Not only was it the best spa experience I have every had, but it was the most affordable too.

Tessa

We lost another pet this year. In all my years working at the vet I have only had to put Sweetie my rabbit to sleep. This year in under a month I have had to put two beloved animals to sleep. Bizarre. Tessa was a border collie that my parents rescued from the Northern California Border Collie Rescue back in 2003 (or around that time). Owning these neurotic dogs is a fun and humorous adventure. Tessa would "herd" you or the cat around the house and told you what to do, even if you did not know it. Tessa and Willow were friends, but only because Willow was able to her mouth around the football that Tessa couldn't. Then Willow would squeeze all the air out, and then finally Tessa could put her mouth around the ball, but only for a moment until it filled back up with air. I will miss everything about that crazy and lovable border collie.
And getting a picture of Tessa was nearly impossible because she hated the sound any camera made... but I got these of her while playing with toy in the backyard.

I believe that bone in her mouth is buried somewhere in the flower bed. She had a love hate relationship with squeaky toys.

Off the couch.

I love my fur babies, but one rule that is and isn't enforced in our home is no animals on the couch. We have beautiful red couch's that show every little white hair that lands on them. To maintain my couch's I put pretty blankets over them so when the white covered fur children do misbehave I will not have to clean up as much. Here is what Dan and I walked in on after working around the house...

Note the "Oh crap I just got caught" look from Willow.

Now Spuds has the look of I don't care...

Do not let her cuteness fool you. She is suppose to be off the couch!

My hitler kitty could give a crap about the rules, but he does follow them once in a while.
