Haunted House?

Nope. These are pictures of my SIL house and her neighbors houses too. They have created a whole street of horror for the little goblins in her neighborhood. I must say, she did a great job! In fact, they all did such a great job decorating that they made the front page of the living section in our local Californian newspaper. All these pictures are courteous of the of http://www.thecalifornian.com/ , Brittney Durgin/photographer.

::embarrassing::

Okay. We treat Willow like our child, because she IS our child. And yes, sometimes that includes holding her like one too! However, when ever D picks her up she gets this embarrassed look on her face that D and I can't help chuckle about.

Sad and pathetic? Yes. Cute? H-E-double hockey sicks YES!!

My first facial...

...was freaking AWESOME. I always go to Liz at Flawless Beauty in south Salinas for my waxing needs. I'd figure since my :::shhh::: birthday is coming up I would treat myself to my very first facial. My appointment was on time at 4:30 this afternoon and I left there at 6:15 feeling like a brand new girl. Liz did the c-esta facial, massaged my neck, shoulders, chest, arms and feet! OMG, it felt sooooo good! Not only was it the best spa experience I have every had, but it was the most affordable too.

Tessa

We lost another pet this year. In all my years working at the vet I have only had to put Sweetie my rabbit to sleep. This year in under a month I have had to put two beloved animals to sleep. Bizarre. Tessa was a border collie that my parents rescued from the Northern California Border Collie Rescue back in 2003 (or around that time). Owning these neurotic dogs is a fun and humorous adventure. Tessa would "herd" you or the cat around the house and told you what to do, even if you did not know it. Tessa and Willow were friends, but only because Willow was able to her mouth around the football that Tessa couldn't. Then Willow would squeeze all the air out, and then finally Tessa could put her mouth around the ball, but only for a moment until it filled back up with air. I will miss everything about that crazy and lovable border collie.
And getting a picture of Tessa was nearly impossible because she hated the sound any camera made... but I got these of her while playing with toy in the backyard.

I believe that bone in her mouth is buried somewhere in the flower bed. She had a love hate relationship with squeaky toys.

Off the couch.

I love my fur babies, but one rule that is and isn't enforced in our home is no animals on the couch. We have beautiful red couch's that show every little white hair that lands on them. To maintain my couch's I put pretty blankets over them so when the white covered fur children do misbehave I will not have to clean up as much. Here is what Dan and I walked in on after working around the house...

Note the "Oh crap I just got caught" look from Willow.

Now Spuds has the look of I don't care...

Do not let her cuteness fool you. She is suppose to be off the couch!

My hitler kitty could give a crap about the rules, but he does follow them once in a while.

Happy Anniversary...

... to mi madre and padre.

Bidders welcome.

This past week I finally made the plunge into the sellers world of ebay. I will admit that I am a designer jean whore that never wears her good designer jeans because she is afraid to ruin them. Silly I know, but hey at least I can admit to one of my flaws. I, as most of the people around me, are tight on cash right now. So I decided to put my fabulous jeans that I never wear up for auction. To my pleasant surprise many, many bidders are interested in my new and barely used stuff. Woot-woot. Not only am I cleaning out my closet, but I am getting money for what I am getting rid of. And what doesn't sell is hitting the local freecycle pages soon.

Worlds tiniest tomato...

Ripe and oh so tasty too!

Seriously. I grew the little itty bitty things in my backyard.

They are organic... yes even the soil is organic.

Sailing part deux

Went sailing with the in-laws this past Sunday. I took bonine way before I set foot on the boat and felt great the entire time. Woot-woot.

It was a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l sunny October day!

In memory of...

Okay. I seriously miss the heck out of my Banschi. I went to etsy.com and found this awesome jewlery designer. Check out her shop http://www.creationsbychara.etsy.com/. I had her make a necklace for me in memory of the bansch-man. We buried under a tree we planted when we first bought our home, so the necklace theme works. As you can see the necklace is beautiful!!

And one more of Banschi....

Metal mouth.

For those of you who know me, you know I have had my braces on for a good 2 1/2 years. Now my teeth were not as crooked as you might think, but my 'bite' was/is all messed up. I have straight as ruler teeth, but they are not aligned properly. Yesterday I went in for my usual six week appointment. My ortho showed me how close I was to having the "perfect" bite. He puts on a new wire on top and does something funky with bottom one. Until yesterday I have never ever left their place in pain, and today my pain is four time more intense. Ouch. I was hoping to have these little metal devil's out of my mouth by the holiday's, but I do not think that will happen anymore. Let me put it to you this way... Get these farkers out of my mouth!!

... pass the Tylenol please.
